Dignity alone prevented Setsuna from outright fleeing from the Hufflepuff common room when she finished her scheduled chaperoning time. Being one of the youngest members of the Shinmeiryuu School, Setsuna didn't have much experience with small children, and she was shocked to find they seemed to have endless reserves of energy to go with their remarkable ability to find new ways to cause trouble ( ... )

This castle was definitely too confusing. Even from the outside, the maze of roofs, towers and open passages seemed to make the little girl's mind boggle even more about how any of the wizards living here managed to get to the bathroom, much less find the exit. Then again, They were magical users, so maybe there was some kind of magical map or direction-thing? Well whatever the case was, Chao's hopes of leaving were more than a little defeated. Maybe she could find a window on the first floor to sneak out of or somewhere else that was less scary to climb down fro ( ... )

Setsuna was not so lost in her own thoughts as to dull her instincts, such a lack of awareness had been the first thing her teachers had rid her of. Her sensitive ears had detected a strange clamor from far above her, and she had looked back to investigate. There were, after all, few legitimate reasons for someone to be on the roof, and therefore whoever was up there was likely doing something they should not ( ... )

Chao hurt the desperate voice, but her eyes stung too much from her frozen tears to really see. She wanted to wipe them away, even with her arm if she could, but no, She had to concentrate on not letting go. The modest freezing wind took little time to remove any warmth she had in her body, quickly sending uncomfortable trembles through her. She hated this place, she hated everything about this. Why did Wizards always have to ruin her life somehow? it just wasn't fair! she never wanted to be here and now she was about to die ( ... )
