Delicious Food, You Must Eat It

She tried not to stuff her face.
Max was never used to having so much food so easily accessible. She and the rest of the flock had always kind of been scavengers - ate what they could, when they could, and if they managed to snag a full meal in the process, so much the better. She hoped that the rest of the flock was faring so well, and she got the feeling they were. She just wasn't used to being alone without them. They were safe. It was a mantra Max kept repeating over and over.
At least between bites. Max wasn't even sure of half of what she was eating. All she knew was that it was hot, delicious, and seemingly endless. It was heaven. Despite her focus on all things edible, she looks rather alone, sitting at the end of the Gryffindor table by herself.m
