A boy roughly the age of six left what was actually his office, shutting the door on the cackling fire demon inside. He had perfect blond curls, bright blue eyes and the most angelic of faces. Currently that angelic face of his was in a scowl that was not fit for a six year old.

"I don't underthstand," he spoke out loud as he walked through the hallways. "Calthifer shouldn't be bound to the fireplathe. But there it wath, my heart. This doesn't make thenthe at all."

A small hand ran across the stone wall as he walked. He needed to find Sophie and the sooner the better.

Sophie had been wandering the halls. Rather hopelessly she might add. This castle was far more confusing that Kingburu could ever be. She was circling about, down a very familiar seeming hallway, when she stumble upon what appeared to be a young boy.

"There you are!" Hah! At least she had found once piece of their little family. Now for Morgan..."Any thoughts on where Morgan went off to?" Her brow creased with worry. Morgan was only two.

Howl looked up at the woman pitifully. "How did you figure out it wath me tho fast?" he asked, big blue eyes shining.

A head full of blond ringlets shook. "I only just letht Calfifer," he frowned. Perhaps for the time being it was best not to mention the small detail about his fire demon. He didn't quite know the details of the situation yet, as Calcifer refused to speak.

"I take it you haven't an idea yet either?"

"Do you really have to lisp?" She asked with a frown, before giving into a sigh. "And of course I would know you. I would think I would know my own husband well enough to know his tricks."

She peeked at the door, a familiar sense of curiosity coming to the forefront of her mind. Why did she have such an odd urge to go into that room? "Calcifer? Why didn't he come with you. He could be some help, considering I have no clue where he could have gone and he was supposed to be with the both of you."

"Yeth, I do. It'th part of the thpell," he grinned deviously up at her. "Well, at leatht I can give you credit there," he chuckled, which was odd coming out of the six year old body.

Howl glared up as Sophie. "Don't you dare, Thophie. Thtay out of there," he ordered the woman. "I don't know why but he can't leath the fireplath. He wouldn't tell me a thing."

"You truly are horrible, to have other's suffer through that. Can't you fix it?" She asked just a little bit flustered and exasperated.

"Can't leave the..." The last time that was true, Howl's heart had been bound right there with Calcifer. Oh dear just what was going on? Her brows knitted in worry as she glanced down at Howl. "He...won't say anything? Why?"

Howl shook his head, "I cannot, Thophie. My magic ithn't working ath it should." He frowned. He was well aware that there were thousands of magic books in that office he had found himself in. There was also the stick he had on him, it felt of magic and surely was a wand of sorts. However, trying it now without knowing what he was doing was not something he wished to do. Not without more study, anyways. Else he forever hold the body of a six year old boy.

"This ith Calcifer we're talking about, Thophie. He theemed to think this whole ordeal wath really rather amuthing," he sighed. "You can't ethpect to get anything out of Calthifer then."

Oh heavens. Howl without his magic, a right mess that left the two of them in. He likely couldn't even try to divine Morgan's whereabouts...This was not boding well.

Toss the condition of Calcifer in there, and really it left them with little to work with. "R-right. We can worry about Calcifer after we find Morgan..." If they could find him. "I don't even know where to start looking in this place...I'll get lost quicker than I ever did in Kingsbury."
