Ai lingered in the corner of the hallway, her long black hair falling over her shoulders as she stared down at the object in front of her. She had not meant to scare the first year away, but he had caught her watching him and had apparently been startled by her presence. How could a child at this school not be used to spirits yet?
The student was quickly forgotten, however. Right now, her interest was on the marbles he had left on the floor. She stared at the colored glass orbs. She missed the little things like this. She couldn't really touch the marbles, but they were pretty to look at. Ai knelt in front of them, passing her fingers over them like she was flicking them, even if they didn't move. She wondered how she could return the marbles or if she could somehow keep them for herself.
