It started as a gentle breeze, air swirling through the room, no more than one would expect in a drafty old castle. What one would not expect though, was that breeze to build and bluster, rattling the windows and beating a fury against the walls. The air had a voice; it howled.
The meal she'd made of those students was buzzing through her very being. Blood magic was the most potent, after all. Belladonna did not walk, nor float as she did the past three hundred years. She flew, eyes full of satisfaction, mouth wet with appetite.
She savoured the moment outside the Great Hall. It was a day to be engraved in the minds of many. After a painfully drawn out silence, the doors shattered inward.
The Widow had arrived.
