And then onto Runes, the longer classes, the one that put her to sleep if the right subject came up. She wouldn't comment with it lout-loud, but indeed, Lady thought in the back of her mind that a class over the subject felt redundant. All to get the major exams out of the way to please her aunt.

Yet speaking of that... She was in a sour mood, yet it seemed to have lightened receiving a compliment from her teacher, earlier. At least she was doing better. Coming down the hallway with a steady pace, Lady seemed more preoccupied stuffing a textbook in her bag. The paintings surrounding the area were something she was used to it. A part of her remembered being terrified of the painting of the Leanan Sidhe in the back, but...

The color of red was in the corner of her eye. Thinking it was a change in the painting, she regarded it with a second glance-

Wait. Amongst her giggling housemates, Lady glanced up, right above...

"What are you doing?" Lady questioned so loudly enough the younger red haired slytherin stopped to glance back at her. It wasn't even a question of how, more like why.

Dante glanced down at Lady with a smirk on his face. It was somewhat apparent that had he been on the ground and not so oddly hanging off the ceiling like a freaking spider his pose would have been rather relaxed and cocky looking. He managed to still pull it off somehow despite gripping the ceiling corner--it was easier to grip where the wall met, and sometimes he moved to chill "right-side up" like he was sitting on the wall and the ceiling was simply his backrest--with rather long fingernails. The fact that he was defying gravity without using a spell did not occur to him to be odd in the least.

"Hanging around, skipping classes--you know, the usual," the red-clad student replied. As an after thought he actually added, "...I was bored."

"Well," Lady sighed, shifting as if she was about to walk away -- considering the last conversation, Lady wanted to make a point to avoid him. What was going on here? It wasn't disturbing or unusual, maybe some of them had a penchant for hanging in... odd areas.

Yeah, right.

"That's retarded." Lady concluded, looking back at her bag, "Couldn't you skip out like normal people do? Not hang all over?"

Rorschach was onto something about the lack of authority, wasn't he...

Dante just frowned lightly at her and tilted his head to the side slightly. Then resumed his normal demeanor, including the cocky grin.

"No. Where would the fun be in doing something boring like that?"

"One of these days, you're going to bite off more than can chew," She stated flatly, and rather bluntly. An unreadable expression, blank at best, yet oddly critical. "I don't know? Most go down to Hogsmeade, not stick in school."

"Doubtful," he automatically responded to Lady's initial blunt statement. He didn't foresee himself even getting into more trouble than he could handle. He was awesome, and that was that. Dante just shrugged slightly. "But then I couldn't annoy as many people... adults don't tend to take well to students skipping classes."

She stared, knowing full well she'd be late to her class. The past few weeks, Lady might have wanted to duck out, but now there was a strive to do the opposite. She just didn't get him, and neither herself for even attempting to bother.

"I'm only saying, Sparda, there's better things to do with your time."

"Oh, yeah? Like what?" he managed to smile down at her--though slightly creepy in his unusual way, it seemed more sincere than anything he'd given up to this point. Like a "I know your secret" sort of way but without implying the actual secret that he...actually knew in this particular "relationship."

She stared at him, not knowing what to make of that smile, but it would hit her, give or take thirty seconds.

And there! Her response was a scowl, a very pink-faced scowl, an unusual reaction, whenever Lady could get angry enough, she could get flustered. That, and, she didn't really care for a male smiling at her. Creeper.

"Stuff," Lady commented vaguely, adjusting her sweater. Yet again, she wouldn't go either way with a comment, but if he started asking her more about certain things...

Aww, but Dante had the sweetest intentions in mind with that "reassuring" smile. All right, that was a lie but he was trying. Just a little. Maybe.

"'Stuff'?" he repeated in the form of a question, both eyebrows raising slightly. "Very informative, Lady.

"Obviously I could be doing stuff--I am doing stuff--but other kind of stuff as you seem so keen on trying to get me to do. I do believe I was asking what sort of other stuff. Com'on! Like that's an answer that tells me anything!"

"I've got my spare activities that don't involve hanging from walls," At least, not here. She just didn't seem to have trust in him, or in a lot of people, even for meager conversation. A blow of bangs, and she decided to roll with it, "Looking for whatever goes bump in the night, I don't know."

"Yeah? Like. What." he retorted yet again before she had finished. "How many times do I have to repeat myself? And people say I'm a bad conversationalist."

He paused to consider her actual suggestion though. That seemed a little odd for a hobby, but who was he to judge? More importantly, he was curious as to why she'd say something like that. Well, he had an inkling now thanks to their conversation on the journals. But that was--well--not quite the same thing as knowing.

"...Sounds like an obsession to me," he finally continued. "Now tell me--why would I want to do something like that?" Again, he grinned.
