[CLASS LOG] Defense Against the Dark Arts

In the time that Auron Shiranui arrived at his post in the Defense Against the Dark Arts, he had already set a strong disciplinary reputation among the students of Hogwarts Academy of Witchcraft & Wizardry. He had thought the transition from "independent security consultant" to teacher would have been awkward. However, his no-frills approach became a fixture in the DADA classroom almost instantaneously. Everything, down to the neat semi-circular arrangement of desks (in order to keep an eye on all the students at once), was orderly, straight forward, and most importantly, efficient. Each desk had the textbooks magically affixed to the surface. One of the last things Auron wanted to tolerate was defacement of his materials (which he purchased out of pocket for reasons unknown).
However, he was internally excited about the new day's prospect. The school had been running awkwardly in the time since the Ophelia Ripley-Professor Matsumoto dispute, but his public journal entry to students made it clear that no one at the school was going to get the opportunity to make a fool out of him.
