Summary: Hogwarts' new poltergeist takes up residence in the library for the day. Feel free to subthread or threadjack.
There was something in the library that day which had never been there before. It wasn't exactly intrusive, unless one found, like most people, the sensation of being watched intrusive. It seemed to be content simply to stay where it was and observe the students and the professors and the librarians, the ones who moved through and the ones who stayed. To some it was invisible, to others just a pair of glowing, disembodied eyes, and to others it was full-formed and conspicuous, hovering obstructively in front of an entire bookcase of history texts.
It didn't move or speak--not yet--but simply remained where it was, as still as any fixture.
