In the same staunch pose, Jack had spotted the other man as he walked through the halls in somewhat of a daze. The freebooter got the unsettling feeling from the stranger that they had crossed paths somewhere before, but he couldn't place where or when. Jack hoped that if he stood still that he would go unnoticed but it seemed that luck didn't favor him today. In fact--unfortunately enough--it seemed that Jack had left such an impression that this man actually remembered him by name!

Of course he was Jack Sparrow; who wouldn't remember him by name alone? Maybe it was one of his fans.

Jack eased to a normal standing posture and rubbed his chin. "Ah. Sir. You are sorely mistaken because I'm actually not here." He motioned forward with both palms, "In fact a man in a daze such as yourself can't be sure of what he sees or doesn't see. An Illusion; Hallucination resulting from too many hours spent overworking oneself in studies of some sort; ..A daydream maybe. ..Though it be strange that I be the one involved in your daydream and not some pretty lady." Jack frowned, "I hope there be no other daydreams that you involve me in, Sir." He cleared his throat, "In any case, it would be a shame that I would soil your daydream by me presence any longer. I should take my leave."

Roy resisted the urge to rub his forehead. Of all the people for him to stumble across...what was this man even doing in Hogwarts? He vaguely remembered Hawkeye mentioning something, but he had been too busy drowning in paperwork (Auror paperwork, not this school stuff), figuring that she would have pulled out her gun if it had been really important.

...It clearly hadn't been important, but still.

He rolled his eyes at the other man's monologue. "Roy Mustang. I arrested you a few years ago," he supplied helpfully. "Of course, considering those dragons, you could also term it a rescue."

Drat. So that was where he knew the young hall wanderer from, and it happened that it had been a time that Jack had a run-in with the law. Finding someone who knew him in that way could have potential for endangering any finding of valuables that may be had on school grounds. "A Previous chapter in me life," Jack waved off "one that I have inevitably left far behind in the pursuit of something more noble." Which was true to the fullest extent--Dragons were so much trouble and not nearly as valuable if one wasn't intact enough to reap the profits.
