Usual pursuits such as reading or calligraphy having failed him, Byakuya at last to this in order to take his mind off the debacle this past week had been.
The Board and Headmaster had requested that he clear out Iroh's office. While Board meetings were generally open to the public, there was of course confidential information involved in some meetings that it necessary to keep out of public hands.
The office was the almost same as it had been the previous time Byakuya had entered, although perhaps a little messier, the chair pushed out and writing utensils left strewn around as if he had left halfway through something. Unsurprising. The world knew of Iroh's penchant for avoiding paperwork (especially in favour of a dinner out), no matter how he tried to hide it.
Unbidden, Byakuya found his lips quirking slightly. He stifled it almost immediately. As his father had often said, bad habits in private frequently led to those bad habits being exposed in public.
