This here is the Iroh memorial log. We can do this party style, and don't worry if you come in late or need to be slow - everyone is welcome to get involved. A note from the mods - there will be teachers there to pay respects to Iroh and keep an eye on things, so there will be no shady business. Also, GW is locked out. Ahaha. The basic idea is that people hang out, talk about good memories of Iroh and basically have a good time. Oh, and eat lots of food.

After getting Minato's message, Rangiku thought over a lot of ideas. It'd been a given right from the beginning that it wouldn't be formal. Iroh had never been one to go on ceremony and Rangiku would've bet good money that he wouldn't want something stuffy and formal. Iroh would want them to have fun.
The area was all lit up. Nanao had agreed to Rangiku's suggestion about hosting the event around the greenhouses, lanterns glowing like fireflies among the branches. She'd spent a long time setting it up, Ashe and Psyche both arriving early to help put together the setting for the passed Hufflepuff professor. Tables were scattered through the area, white tablecloths covered with food and drinks, while the flickering light of the lanterns occasionally caught a sparkling glimmer woven into the fabric. It had a calm atmosphere, peaceful and strangely magical. Some patches of grass had blankets cast over them and cushions scattered here and there so people could claim a seat almost anywhere on the cool grass.
Laying back on the grass, Rangiku let her sake bottle rest on her stomach as she looked up at the receding sunlight, giving way to a canopy of stars. "This one's to you, Iroh," she murmured, taking a swig before sighing softly. This would be good.
