Seriously. Chocolate. Laguna was more than happy to come to the club and meet people but also, come on, it was chocolate. He made his way down to where it was suppose to be, having gotten all the information from Rangiku (thank goodness...) when they had met up.

His hair was still slightly damp from his shower so it wasn't in its customary tie, unfortunately showing more of the gray streaks. He felt old whenever he saw those but what could he do? He sighed and entered the room. His eyes widened at all the chocolate.

"Wow, she wasn't kidding when she said there would be lots of chocolate..."

Luxord did enjoy parties of any sort and while this was a relatively tame event (compared to others he had been to), he had a feeling it would still prove interesting. Before touching any of the chocolate Luxord had helped himself to a cup of tea. Considering Rangiku had been in charge things had turned out fairly well.

Then again, the party had only just begun.

The Arithmancy professor picked up a few chocolates and started to mingle when he noticed a familiar face in the crowd...one he had run into recently. "Well," he said, overhearing what Laguna had declared upon entering, "it would hardly be appropriate to call it a chocolate club meeting if there were not a lot of chocolates."

"Yeah, but still," He said, turning to Luxord. "This is a lot of chocolate."

Laguna grinned though, when he saw Luxord anyway. He picked up some chocolate of his own. "How are you doing, though? Did you find your cat?"

"True," Luxord replied, returning Laguna's grin with one of his own.

Luxord took another drink of his tea before answering, "I did. He was a tough catch of course but I think cats typically like to play hard to get."

"Really?" Laguna blinked. "The ones I encounter won't stop clinging to me."

It was true, he had the holes in a lot of his clothes to prove it. Lately, he'd mastered the art of not ripping while peeling the cat or whatever animal with nails off but... there were still some kind of hole.

Luxord mulled over that tidbit for a moment, "Hm, well, perhaps you're just better with animals." He smirked slightly, "After all, you are the professor in charge of care of magical creatures."

Luxord picked up a piece of fruit that had been dipped in chocolate and ate it. This club was certainly more entertaining than he had originally thought it would be.

"W-Well yeah but... I don't really do much," Laguna laughed sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck. But he supposed Luxord could be right. The animals really did always take a liking to him really soon.

And it wasn't like he saw a fault in it. He grabbed a chocolate cookie and munched thoughtfully. "So, how long have you been teaching here?"

"Not quite that long. A few years at most...although I took a leave of absence last year to go abroad," Luxord replied with a nonchalant shrug. He'd made sure they'd had a sub while he was gone of course. Luxord didn't plan on doing that again for awhile, as it seemed a few of his students had suffered in their arithmancy for it.

"Where did you go?" Laguna asked, interested. He traveled around too, but it was nice to meet someone who also had traveled a bit. "Did you ever live in the muggle world?"
