01: Hungry

It’s quite chilly up here in the Ravenclaw common room. I don’t know why they chose to shove us all here but I’m getting a bit stir-crazy. Probably still not as crazy as what’s going on outside. I don't like being stuck in here and not being able to do anything though. Then again, this common room has a ton of windows and it’s kind of fun to ( Read more... )

It's cold? Really? I suppose I've been living there for almost six years, I never really noticed. I think they decided on the Ravenclaw Common Room because it's one of the more central houses, and Miria was the student who decided to take charge - if you're bored, you might be able to go and ask her if there's anything you can do to help out?

Well, it wouldn't be much of a Forbidden Forest if it wasn't forbidden now, would it~?

It is. Well, that and I forgot my neckerchief in my room. It was kind a blur being rushed up here and I didn't grab it. The view is amazing though! You're lucky to see this for six years.

It's really too bad that the forest is forbidden. I'd really like to know what's over there. Now to find Miria.

It is pretty wonderful, isn't it? I sometimes take it for granted, I think, but Gryffiundor's not so bad! As for the neckerchief, maybe try a Summoning Spell? If you want, I can lend you a scarf, although the blue and bronze might ruin your house pride something awful.

Well, they do serve detentions in there sometimes, it's just a case of doing something bad enough. Hogwarts: A History has a section on the forest, but it's been a while since I read it, so I can't exactly remember what's in it. I'm pretty sure it has a little more than just 'It's forbidden' in it, though.

I'm actually from Hufflepuff. So virtually no windows. At this rate, warmth is much more important than pride, so thank you!

So what you're saying is I should either get myself in detention or read the book about the forest?

The Forbidden Forest is probably forbidden for very good reasons. There's more than likely dangerous creatures roaming there that the professors don't want us getting involved with.

Or a descendant who doesn't understand what a vegetarian is.

Vegetarian? Does the cafeteria even supply vegetarian food..? Though it's sure to have improved via the new caretaker...

One learns to pick at the side dishes. You know, plenty of potatoes.

Well, the Forbidden Forest wouldn't be so ominous if it was called the "Forest of Off Limits" or the "Restricted Forest."

Gotta love the alliteration then.

I was just wondering though... Because I will surely heed the forbidden-ness of it!

Because the "Slight Permissible Forest" or the "We'll Expel You If You Enter This, No Really We Will, Forest" just aren't as catchy.

Also, you aren't missing much. Most of the "craziness" is just the confusion of people being displaced and since these kind of wide-spread spells are common, it's just a matter of waiting it out.

True, and those names are just too long.

As long as they're all going to be safe I'm slightly comforted. It's just the not knowing part that's kinda hard, you know?

Yeah, and they don't acronym into anything interesting either.

It is hard. Do you think they'll remember any of this?

So far it looks like they remember. I hate to say it, but it's pretty entertaining.
