This should come as no surprise to any of you, but I don't plan on staying here during the holidays. So while the rest of you are stuck milling about this dingy castle, I, on the other hand, will be on a tour of Europe. What will you do without me?

Kaoru.. [Still miffed that you snubbed her in your journal but trying to overlook it...] you'll have ( Read more... )

I'm heading back to the US! [Oh Bart. He always fails to completely miss her tone.] So I think we'll actually be fine. Enjoy your tour of Europe and bring back lots of pictures, okay?

[Bart, why so innocent? It's probably better for him that he doesn't pick up on it] Yeah.. I'll do that.

What portion of the United States?

Sweet! I'll look forward to seeing them.

Alabama. I'm technically from Manchester, but no one ever knows where that is, so... it's about an hour away from Birmingham and four hours away from Atlanta.

[Going to be a long wait on those pictures]

[Manchester? It sounds-- like it could be upscale but it is in Alabama.. so... ] Haven't heard of it. [And doesn't really care] I'm from Westchester in New York.

[... sob yeah no, Bart's not gonna wait that long. In Bart years, that's FOREVER.]

Yeah, it's super-tiny. I bet your Westchester's bigger, though I haven't heard of it! [still, he doesn't miss a beat:] I'll have to visit y'all some day.

Even if it's probably waaay too cold there for me.

[Super-tiny... and "ya'll"? Massie is wrinkling her button nose at you. Good thing you can't see it]

How could you have nawt heard about Westchester? [Don't hold your breath, she might instruct Inez not to let you in should you come to call] Yeah, you do that.

It's nawt for everybody.

Easily! It's not like I pay much attention to what you Yanks do. [Oh, he fully expects to be kicked out. It's just his Southern politeness kicking in.]

[holding back the laugh, he really is; the New Jersey accent's hilarious to him.] So I figured. Not to you either, if you're jetting around Europe.

Yanks? Puh-lease, it's nawt like you can just lump as all together. [And she would totally lump you class-less, backwater, fashion challenged southerners together.]

[Oh dear, you think it's a jersey accent? No, she just alters several words like that for emphasis. You're not the only one to assume it was an accent.] Least you understand that much. [We are from two different classes entirely]
