[ THUMP. .. a journal's fallen open. Liz, however, is there to pick it up and, by the look of it, she isn't aware that she's accidentally activated the video feed. Quill in hand, the chameleon scribbles down a set of directions that might look, somewhat, familiar to anybody that's paid attention on the Hogwarts Express. Liz, then, hands the journal

Sorry about that, we're having a bit of trouble with a rogue spell. I'm Dr. John Smith, fellow new fac member. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

[ ! ! ! a confused Liz peeks into the journal, which, strangely enough, appears to be talking to her and the Friz. ( 8O! ) Hurling it up into the air, she darts behind the ginger haired Professor. ]

Hello there! [ Ms. Frizzle is there to catch it. ] Ha Ha, you said it! It's as my grandpapi used to say, the best entrance is always the most different.

He's my School Bus. [ School Broom, maybe. ]

Oh! Don't worry about it, Dr. Smith. I'm sure it can't be all that bad. [ Chuckles a bit more. ] I'm Ms. Valerie Frizzle and this, here, is Liz, [ Liz peers over Ms. Frizzle's shoulder to wave. ] .. and then you have my Bus!

Honk Honk!

Nice to meet you, Liz, Bus, Valerie. Please, just call me John. I save the Doctor-ing for the students. What subject will you be teaching?

Your Bus looks fascinating - how all does it work?

It is an absolute pleasure to meet you, John. [ Liz nods her head in agreement. ] I will be the new Astronomy Professor for Years 1 - 5.

I could tell you, John, but I'd much rather show you. [ Ms. Friz smiles, and the Bus kicks it into high gear so that, in moments, they arrive at Hogwarts. ]

[As he watches her arrival, a wide, gleeful grin spreads across his face.] Oh, that really is something. Just marvelous. [He held out a friendly hand.] And good to see you face-to-face.

Astronomy, you say? Make sure you get a chance to speak to a boy called Abel, he's interested in that.

[ .. as Ms. Friz nears the ground, she jumps off and lets the Broom sail the rest of the way down. Takes John's hand and gives it a good, long shake. ] It's great to see you, too, John! [ It isn't long before the Bus starts jerking about only to, finally, return to its natural shape. ]

Yep! I plan on taking the kids on quite a number of field trips, [ Nudges John with a sly sort of smile. ] If you know what I mean. [ Chuckles. ]

Abel? Why of course! I'm glad there are already students interested in the subject.

Well, if you ever need any more chaperons, I'd be more than happy to volunteer! [He winks, and returns the smile.]

Oh, me too! I was a little taken by surprise.

I would absolutely love to have you aboard, John! [ I don't think you realize just how happy that's made her. ]

I can't wait to begin, though, and I hope by the end of my class everybody will be interested in astronomy.

Oh, I'm sure they will be. I only just broached my topic, and I've already had people signing up for the class.
