[A gentle, confident voice suddenly broadcasts over the journals, young but not as young as some.] Hey, everybody, [And this last word is magnified with a louder spell:] listen.
If you're scared and you don't know where you are, it's okay. You don't have to be afraid. You're here because of a really big magic spell or ... something, but I'm sure the professors are working on fixing it. [the ones that aren't currently affected, anyway.] Everything's going to be okay. It's safe here, and everything should go back to normal soon.
If you're alone, see if you can find your way to, or find someone to take you to the Gryffindor Common Room. There's, ah-- lots of fun games up here, like Hide and Seek and Wizardopoly and stuff. It's-- really fun! [And should keep you lost little ones safe and out of trouble for now. Maybe.] So come here if you want company.
Also-- Um, to any of the staff that's still around, do you know anything?
