[She is knocked sideways by a surprisingly strong plant.]

[She peeks out at the sound, her braid falling over her shoulder. As soon as she does, one of the flowers hisses at her.]

[She says as she comes standing-sliding into the green house, an ofuda palmed in one hand, her wand trained on a rather large plant with the other.]

But I do doubt that they're going to make it easy.

[She couldn't argue with that, but she knew she had to protect her student. Holding the shovel, Aerith crawls out and knocks one of the plants out of the way.]

We need to stand together! [She reaches out for Mulan.]

[Mulan edges towards the Professor, casting a few petrifying spells as she goes and freezing some of the plants with ofuda, too. A safe, defensive strategy.]

I came from the training grounds and didn't see any staff on the way over, sorry.

I am, but not much is seeming to wor... ---!!! Professor, what about ice spells? These greenhouses keep the plants at a warmer temperature, right?

Ice? [That might kill them and...she wasn't sure what was going on here. What if the plants were sick? Or...maybe they were warning her of something to come?]

We can cool it just enough so that they are lethargic.

That will slow them down enough, maybe even put them to sleep, so to speak, until we can figure out what's wrong.

[Here, she'll get right on helping with that.]

[Aerith pulls out her wand and assists Mulan until the temperature starts dropping steadily. Just as planned, the plants become more lethargic - some even drooping over in their pots.]

Good. Now let's get out of here. [She opened the door carefully.]

Right. [Mulan is going to walk out there backwards, her wand still held in a defensive position.

Professor... What kind of magic could make so many different types of other magic ineffective like that?

I...[Aerith had been wondering that herself. She had never seen plants reacting like this. It was almost as if they had gained intelligence - and spitefulness.] don't know. I think the Headmaster needs to be informed.
