[What appears to be ash dots the surface of this paper before it is shaken away. There's a dot of ink, as if she was thinking to write, but decides better of it.
Her voice comes in a moment later, crisp and clear.]
It appears I have been promoted to Prefect status. [There's some warmth in her voice -- she sounds pleased, almost.] I'll be sure to perform to the best of my abilities.
[a beat.] Miss Mihama? My sister has sent you something as thanks for your most generous gift. You may retrieve it...[a pause wherein she seems to think over this.] On second thought, I will bring it to you, if that is suitable.
[another pause:] ...Mother was kind enough to send me a dress. Is everyone else prepared for the ball?
