Such is the way with Hogwarts.

[Private to Teresa]

I didn't consider it prudent.

I'm beginning to notice.

[Private to Irene]

Oh? What do you expect to happen, then?

If you are asking what I expect to happen if we meet, then it would be the aftermath of events past. Stepping into turmoil is not something I choose willingly. It is not the place of the guilty to infringe upon the wronged.

Alternatively, if you inquired as to what would occur if I did not come to see you, I leave that to your discretion.

I have few expectations and less positive ones, Teresa.

... The guilty, Irene? You make it sound as if you killed me. Were we not both just as wronged?

My discretion, hmm? That sounds tempting.

For a long time I was under the impression that my actions had contributed to your death. I don't think the terms of wrongs were equal, or comparable.

Does it?

Ah, you underestimated me again. You do keep making that same mistake.

Mhmm. Almost enough for me to come find you now.

Then it seems neither of us have changed.

I see. I am sure you will do as you wish, in any case.

You do have one less arm than when I saw you last.

What? No objections? You have changed.

It was a superficial loss.

You'd rather I refuse you? Then do not come.

I suppose you would consider an arm superficial.

Oh, no. It's just much more fun when you put up a fight.

There are worse things you can lose. I still have one arm, and it works sufficiently.

[B| Damn you, Teresa.]

Playing games already? We are professionals here. There isn't time for that.

Mmm, it might be worse to lose your head, but you've never been in danger of that.

When have I ever been professional? Really, it's as if you never knew me.

Let's consider it a childish hope. I thought at one point that I knew you well. Or well enough, at least, though being proven wrong is hardly a foreign concept to me.

I thought you were above and beyond hope.

I'll see you around, Irene.

You are vexing on many levels, Teresa.

I imagine you will.
