The current problems with the game are not the local area (at least not at my local game), but the problem lies with the Global Staff. Instead of allowing the ST's that have to put up with most of the crap make the calls, they constantly limit everything about the game. Their reasoning in one of the examples is that if everyone has the same stuff it wouldn't be special. My counterargument to that is that it is a very mysterious world of darkness and everyone generally has some special snowflake or quirk that makes them unique. And then by all of the sudden disallowing all Bloodline devotions from being taught is a bunch of crap. From a financial standpoint I also do not see the point to this considering now that this is the case, there is absolutely no reason to pick up a copy of the bloodlines book if they do not wish to play a PC of the relevant bloodline. Then on top of all of this, I am sure at the next convention they will allow all the people with money to purchase the ability to break all these BS rules as I have seen happen at past conventions.
In other cam related news, I am indeed enjoying the local game a lot lately. I think this is due to a very competent ST staff and a great group of players (for the most part). I have always been of the belief that one is always judged by the company they keep. If this is the case then I feel that ideology applies to the aspect of the game where the quality of players helps me increase my ability to portray a character and tell a compelling story. I guess what I am trying to say is although there is a lot of crap wrong with the game (most of it on the Global Staff's end), I am immensely grateful for the solid game that we keep putting on constantly in Riverside. As far as PC Stuff is concerned, I am still trying to decide the route I should go with either of my PC's. I think that the app that is currently pending for my secondary will decide some of this stuff for me, but I also feel that I need to decide a path that I would like to follow for Phenom. Right now I am noticing that my character is starting to make a name for himself everytime he travels somewhere. At first it wasnt as evident. I think it started at the Culver City game when Phenom pretty much ran the Gangrel meeting. Later in that evening multiple PC's that I never have met introduced themselves to me declaring they have heard tales of my PC's exploits. Then recently my character literally walked into Los Angeles and booted the Gangrel Priscus and installed another and announced it at their court. The very same night Phenom pretty much called a Circle meeting and for all intents and purposes was to focal point of the meeting. Then most recently, Phenom was pretty much the guy in action all night long in Riverside getting to the bottom of everything. In fact, the same night he was granted status twice bringing his total city status to 4 within the domain. I guess what I am debating right now is whether or not I should start dropping XP into status or not. The problem I see with that route is I am wholeheartedly against spending XP for status. I have done it in the past with other PC's and all I felt was regret for doing so. My current plan is if I do end up buying status is that I will work my way up to 4 in both clan and covenant and let it culminate in the purchase of Kindred Legend Status x1. Anyways, I'm done writing so thats it. Later
