"Now that I have Omoikane back, I have a roughly 40% completed map of the town I've made the hard way, though getting it to loop properly has been a programing nightmare. I also took the bits of code I got from the milk man's robot and am analyzing them, but I'm not sure that counts as science. I can bring the data over if you want."

Programming counts. If the map calculates to infinity minus one let me know.

Otherwise, I'd love to see what you got.

"Its currently working as an odd mobius strip actually. The looping nature of the town gives me and Omoikane headaches."

Well then, try not to think on it too hard.

Still, I'd like to see how far you've gotten.

"Certainly... I'll bring it by, and I like red ribbons."

[She hangs up and will be there some 30 minutes later]

[The robot in pants opens the door.]

Short notice, I'll be sure to get something with a red ribbon soon though.

[Let's her in. Why were half the smart ones here kids?]

"I understand."

[She nods, then a holograph of the town she's mapped appears in the air, showing about half the streets people live in, the area near the school and the area near the bakery]

[Hey! Holograms. He'll walk over and narrow his eyes, devoting as much of it to his memory as he could.]

Now that is useful.

If anyone tells you otherwise, send them my way.

"Generally if anyone tells me otherwise, its because they are jealous and want their own implanted holography system."

[she shrugs a bit]

Well I am jealous, and I want one too.

Still, I can settle with working with you. I'll stick to the heavier hardware.

"Excellent. I have problems lifting heavy things, and tend to work more in theory. That being said, they made me sick for years so, you may not want them."

square_cubelaw March 29 2011, 23:16:09 UTC
Well, I do more than lift things...

And I don't think that's physically possible. I'm not sure I'd be able to maintain that sort of sensitive equipment though.

"To be fair, they tend to be fairly low maintenance, its just the respiratory irritations that are bad. But, they fixed that in the later iterations of them."

[She peers at the map]

"Right now, its really just the areas that I've been spending a lot of time in, some places, like the post office and dairy, or, the pile of rubble and the ransacked building as they are now... I don't spend much time at so they haven't been added."

I always wondered what was the ideal there, oh well it's good to know we haven't actually learned anything.

So, is anyone helping you with this?

hontobakabaka March 29 2011, 23:35:44 UTC
"No. I wanted it to be done precisely and most of the people who can think in that way have their own projects, or, are my age, and are fighting the hormones that put stupid ideas in their heads."

[She shrugs a bit]

Shouldn't you be going out and getting stupid thoughts in your head too?
