Forgetting that you have a blog or any form of an online journal can be embarrassing. My mother mentions my older brother's blog reminded me that I hadn't updated in about 3 weeks. Oops.
I quit Wendy's, and had my re-orientation for the pool. It's an easy job, where I spent most of my time sitting down, since nobody goes to this pool, and for good reason. It's a shitty pool. Like most jobs The customers are the worst part, though I've done this for two years already so I think I can take it.
One of the people at the office saw my portfolio, and took me to another part of the building.
This building is, or was a large and rather decrepit looking mansion. It sort of reminds me of the mansion for Resident Evil. Anyway, it turns out that most of this mansion is an art museum! Who knew? I met one of the people in charge, and he really liked my work, but was sad that he didn't see it maybe a month or two earlier, because according to him I would have been perfect for the gallery on digital art they have up now. I left with info on submitting art. Hopefully there will be an exhibit I can submit too soon.
Getting home is rough sometimes when you still can't drive. As I waited for my mom to pick me up, I decided to stop in a Starbucks. I'm still sort of new to this coffee house thing, So I still don't understand the fancy terminology. Today I tried an iced coffee, or was it a frapachino? I don't know the damn difference. It tasted weird, how those hip city people do this is something I will never understand. I would make a terrible hipster.
George Carlin Died last night. It's sad when a comedian dies, especially a brilliant one like him. Normally I would make a single post in his memory, but I don't think I could do him justice.
Last week hell froze over, and I got to see Sarah for a prolonged period of time. We even had time to ourselves! It was very nice, plus I think her parents like me.
It's already a month into summer break, and now things are actually starting. With what I've done so far, I dare say this summer might be productive. It's kind of shocking.
