OH NO! Not a tonsillectomy! Stacey, I feel for you, and I think my journal entries since my own surgery are warning enough.... *hug* Best of luck with that. Just keep in mind that it's worth it. :)

Thanks :) It's totally going to be worth it. My mom had her tonsils out when she was 3, and my little sister had hers out when she was in fourth grade. I remember her being so miserable. I've heard that it's worse when you're older though.. About how long was your recovery? A week? I need to figure out how much time I should be taking off of work.

Well, the worst was over in about eight days, but it was ten or eleven days before I felt up to doing much of anything. I'm sure it varies depending on the person, though. Even my doctors all said that a tonsillectomy is much harder on adults than on kids.

Hmm. I hope it won't be more than a week. D: I've got to work to pay the bills. Hopefully it won't be too expensive...

Insurance covered most of my surgery - it's the anesthesia that's expensive!
