This weekend was great.
Friday we got into Montreal at about 1:30. We got lost in the suburbs and by the time we found the city it was almost 4 in the morning. We slept in the parking lot of a Police Station and McDonalds. It wasn’t the most comfortable nite’s sleep but it was just an accomplishment that we had actually made it to Canada.
Saturday we woke up and found McGill. We hung out with Dan Cooper for a while then we hit the town. We started of with a trip to the Montreal Art Museum. Then we started seeing all that the town had to offer in the way of bars. We spent the night pretty much bar hopping and clubbing. A personal favorite was the Mad Hatter. We met a bunch of people there. Andrew and I then spent the nite sleeping in the woods. Oddly enough much better then the car.
Sunday we got up late and went to see Collateral to pass the time. It was a good movie. We then spent the nite meeting random people al throughout the city. The great thing about this place is that there are a lot more friendly people there. We again hit some bars it wasn’t that packed since Monday was Canadian Thanksgiving. The strip club was a little weird. I really found it more uncomfortable then entertaining. Basically it was like okay you are really hot, but why the hell are you doing this. Stupid feminism got in my way. That and the fact that I thought about the girls that I know and if one of them were forced to do this to make a living I would be beating the crap out of the creepy guys watching them. This nite ended with half of us sleeping in the car and the other half in the woods.
We came home on Monday tired as hell. Just kind of chilled and tried to get some rest after not really sleeping for three days. We ended up with like 20 pictures of people we met in Canada, most of which were bums, street performers or bartenders.
I cant wait till Jimmy, Mat and I go up there during winter break. It is such a fun place. Although next time I am defiantly getting a place to stay. I have so much work to do between now and next week.
