Twice in one year...and less than a month apart. Pigs must be flying and hell has now frozen over.
So today I picked up a new musical instrument to learn. This was a long and well thought out decision. With Melly playing a violin, and me loving nice deep tones, I chose the cello. My first day playing didn't seem to bad. Nice thing about the cello, if you screw up with the notes, it doesn't sound quite as bad as if you were to screw up on something a little higher up in tone like a trumpet or violin. I have three months to decide whether or not to keep with it and continue with payments. My first six payments can be used towards purchase of a cello. The first three months are already paid for. With only two guitar classes at West Valley College, work, and my online math class, I should have a little time to practice...I hope. So far, I love it.
On another note, I've taken a little break from playing paintball. I'm in the process of selling off some of my equipment to help cover for bills and rent. I figure that I'll keep the stuff I can't replace, and sell off the rest. If I ever get the urge to play, I know plenty of people who would trust loaning their stuff to me. I guess I'm just a little burnt out from working at a paintball shop.
Well, that's it for now. I guess I'll just end this with a quote from a famous local musician.
As Les Claypool once put it, "Those deep bass tones keep my sperm count up."
Happy Valentines Day everyone!!!
