It's been slightly over a year since the day I learned all my March work socials were getting cancelled on account of COVID-19 and I heaved a huge sigh of relief! Oh past Caeslin, how terribly innocent you were.
(But it seriously feels surreal that it's already spring again. In a lot of ways the passage of time this whole past year has felt super fake -- like, what did I do in 2020? what did anyone do in 2020? -- but saying that, the other day a song came up on my mp3 player that suddenly made me nostalgic for all the evenings this past summer when I took walks around my neighborhood while listening to music podcasts, so I guess some part of my brain is in fact registering the events that occur around me and even cataloguing some of them as "nice memories," which is something.)
In other news, the cherry blossoms are blooming a full two weeks earlier than they should and for the past few days the petals have been falling very prettily throughout the very un-pretty factory where I work.
