To the Silence
It's weird. I know no one is on here anymore but I miss LJ. It was the best way to connect with real friends and share thoughts and ideas. I don't like facebook, twitter, eesh, all that stuff. It is too open... and I rarely feel comfortable saying anything. Here I know my name is just a handle and the people I have connected with are good ones and there isn't a whole bunch of ads flashing everywhere. Guess I'm just feeling nostalgic for the more substantive quality of connecting here. And also a tad bit paranoid about my professional and personal lives mingling - here it was all personal...and it still is. Everywhere else it gets muddy, and I am a very private person. Ah well... I don't think there is anyway to go back really. I can just write to the silence.
