A busy couple of weeks have just been and gone. One where I got stuck in Dartford, made some money and had the most random thing said to me from a handshake.
Two weeks ago, Saturday 16th, I made a whole of day of wrestling where I went down to Kent, first in Welling (which is more greater London I think) and then to Dartford for RQW. The show in Welling was a little, out of the way one, that I knew a couple of people on the show and I thought I would go and say hello. I really enjoyed myself there actually and the show in itself was not bad.
Afterwards, a group of us went down to Dartford to watch an RQW taping and it was a good series of shows but I have never (and I mean NEVER) have seen a central ring spring fall through the floor!!! - It was unreal! - I got out of my seat to offer a hand and I've never shouted "holy s***" so loud before as it was quite shocking. It brought a new meaning to "holy" that's for sure.
Then a problem arose as we missed the last train home by two minutes and no one could put me up. I tried everything I could think of from trying to convince someone to put me up for the night, and I rang rail times to use every possible route I could do but no dice. I also know a friend in Canterbury and if anything, they would as least know of a b'n'b that I could stop in but the last train to Canterbury East (or was it West?) went about two minutes before the London one. - Does anyone find that really strange that local trains seem to stop really early? - In the end I managed to get a lift to Romford and then to London. Luckly I knew of an all night Macdonalds that a couple of friends (one of them being the Canterbury mate actually) and I stopped at after a marilyn Manson gig one time. I stayed there till 5am and cuaght the 5.30am train home which was not to bad despite the -6 cold!
Fast forward one to last Sunday and IPW. Nice to see Flash Barker back in the ring and there was no train problems although I must wonder if Stixx managed to get home that night. His match with Martin Stone was brutal and I loved every second of it! I also felt a bit sorry for Nikko Brixton in his little bit with Marty Scrull and the Kartel vs The Untouchables was great!
I am unable to train again for anther month, as anther debt must now be paid off plus I want to get in shape and I will do it. I may or may not have something on the 8th of march so we will just have to see what happens.
