sooooo i went to an audition today...
late last night Lina sent me a link about a casting call and--stop the presses!--they actually want Asian actors! i emailed the person this morning to ask when was a good time to drop by. he said the only times available was 2:15 and 2:45... i didn't have time to reply b/c i was going downtown Rachel to do some shopping!
downtown: i was wanting these nice, simple slip-on heels from Aldo, and i found a pair for $70. so, hoping to buy them, i try it on again and i am convinced i want it. but uh oh, i have the wrong bag w/ me! my other bag has this SPC card which gives me 10% off $75 and over from Aldo. yes, my shoes are only $70, but i was planning on also buying a nice pair of earrings to up the price and get my 10% off. so, no shoes. today. *sighs*
Aritzia has a sale going on; in fact, a lot of shops have sales right now. must be for all them high schoolers who just got out! anyways, i have a credit there and want to buy a zip sweatshirt there, but their sale is really crappy! the sweatshirt is originally $69, and it's on sale for--brace yourself now--$64! *gasps* what a sale! everyone rush out to buy it now before it's all gone! *rolls eyes* it's not even 10%! i don't know if i should get it now, or wait for a real sale at the end of summer, or even the Boxing Day sale [day after Christmas is Boxing Day, for you Americans not in the know, hehe]. long story short, i didn't get the sweatshirt either.
tomorrow is Rachel's birthday, and i told her to pick something out and i'll get it for her present. she couldn't do it. lol she said it felt weird doing so, and i had to surprise her tomorrow. well, we were looking around jewelry shops and stuff, so after she left, i went back to a shop and bought her a cute little crystaly pink "R" necklace. i hope she likes!
this week should be an interesting one. i've sent demo reels out to 2 agencies, and will do so to another on Monday, so hopefully they'll call me before i leave for camping on Thuuuuursday! woo hoo! camping in da wilderness like the Finstah! fun times! but this year'll be totally different b/c: 1) my cousin's not gonna be there [she's in Toronto] and 2) my other cousin's gf is coming! any non-family tag-alongs are weird b/c camping is when we're totally raw and gross and, well, we're surrounded by nature! lol
that's enough posting for now... i can't think of anything else...
