A weekend o' fun times
Instead of posting in the string, I just wanted to take this chance to thank everyone who responded to my last post...I really appreciate your sentiments. And it did help me to feel not quite so...sad. *curtsies*
Anyway, this weekend things perked up a bit. Valerie's friends from high school, Beau and Matt, came up and stayed the weekend with us. It was gloriously fun times. We played magic and lunch money, drank, drank, rallied and drank, ventured out to see cows at 2 a.m., and promoted violence with Beau's "Casey Jones" style weapons bag. But Beau and I really hit it off, which is neat. I think he's coming back up in a week or two, which should be some good times.
Oh...yes...because we're going to Octoberfest!!! Valerie and I are at least...so if anyone is interested in going along and dying in the streets of Helen, feel free.
Oh!!! And Saturday night was great! I went to see Dave Matthews, 5th row center...he was 30 feet away!!!! It was amazing!!!! They would just go off in a jam session; I gazed in awe. It was happy times.
My friend "Big Dan" was supposed to take me down (because I'm the worst traffic driver ever), but he bailed on me the night before the concert...but then...my friend Matt ended up taking me, so he's one of the best friends ever. I appreciated it sooo very much, for without him....I would just not have gone.
On a related note, I'll probably get my two 12-year molars pulled this Friday...because I'm a freak and only have them on top. It's going to be rough times. I'm going to look like a bunny.
Oh well....Amanda Griffin and Eva are coming up to m'house this Wednesday to get together. Wee!
Okay, guess I'll hop off for now....need to read for the quiz I have in 15 minutes.
