Home from work and time to unwind. It has been a fairly good day today. Went down for the Farmers Market on my break this morning and picked up at least a weeks worth of veggies and fruit! I do not know what I am going to do when the market closes for the season and there is not any "fresh" foods available. I think that I need to move somewhere that we can grow squash, broccoli, cauliflower and cantaloupe all year long. Actually, I don't think that there is such a place.
While at lunch today I looked over a flyer for a local holistic/spiritual group of retailers working under the name Berkana. They are really disturbing to me. I cannot imagine charging damaged and searching souls the way that they do, for help that should be free. What really got me is a class to "teach" meditation that costs $50 for 5 sessions. I guess that they left their spirituality up at the bank! Worse yet is charging someone for a healing that supposedly passes from a divine entity, through the worker and into the person needing healing. If this truly is divine healing, then how much of the money that they charge do they pass on through to the divinity? Just curious about this one.
Todd had to make sure to get to the store early today to pick up his copy of the Kelly Clarkson CD (American Idol). It will be interesting to watch her over the next few months and see where she takes things from here. Here is her 15 minutes of fame....
I guess it is time for me to turn into the hausfrau now and get the laundry/dishes/cleaning all going. In less than an hour I will have to deal with an unbalanced and hormonal teenager so I better prepare...but then......how does one prepare for that? I am not sure of the exact time that she got so unreasonable, but it does seem to coincide with going back to public school, hooking up with a destructive boyfriend, and getting her license and car. Too bad she is so large and old, too late to stuff her back in the womb. At least she is the only one.
