SOOOOOOOOOO yeah,
i got a call from the doctor's office and they have the results from my test i took a few weeks ago. and the results are more confusing than i could have ever anticipated. I have Chronic Obstruction Pulmonary Disease, which is a combination of Chronic Bronchitis and Emphysema. WebMD says that this disease is almost unheared of in people my age, mostly in persons 60 yrs and older but occasionally in the 30-40 range. however the american lung association disagrees. but whatever.
"COPD is the fourth leading cause of death in America, claiming the lives of 122,283 Americans in 2003."-- WOOOOOHOOOO
The main cause of COPD is tobacco smoking. Now anyone who knows me knows i dont smoke. I have consummed less than a pack of cigarettes in my lifetime, which i think is 20, correct me if im wrong. however the fact that i had bronchitis and pneumonia numerous times before i was 2 defintely doesnt help my case, nor does the asthma i had until i was 10ish.
The ALA says that there is really no cure for this, DUH, and it is also hard to slow the process. so after awhile i am going to need oxygen to work :( oh well, shit happens right? this is supposed to cause me to not be able to work out and exercise...guess im gonna be in a lot of pain in my life since i dont plan to ever stop playing and running with my girl(s)....btw, she's due in 6 weeks.
