Sinclair Broadcasting and You

Oct 18, 2004 13:49

Yeah, it's kind of cheesy, but what the hell...

From AlterNet this morning.

This in itself is not old news. What is new is the heartening way in which people are responding to this travesty that's about to be foisted off on all of us.

Infoshop.org has a link to a list of Sinclair's broadcast markets and a list of advertisers, with notations as to whether the advertiser is local or national. If you can, please join the boycott. Especially if you live in one of their markets (we don't, but I know many who do), it also helps to write a politely worded letter or email to the advertisers in question with your reasons for participating in the boycott. (I cannot stress how important "politely worded" is - let's not stoop to nasty conservative tactics, people.)

This seems to be having an impact so far. Let's join in and not let up until this sad excuse for "journalism" is shelved permanently.
