Obviously the reference is from Randall Munroe, but the concept is very true. For $15 I bought a white board at Walmart and nailed it up in our front hallway right in front of the door. Of course no one has used it for anything productive, like leaving messages and whatnot. But important doodlings have occurred. What follows is what happens when innocent people draw cute animals on a white board in an apartment full of people who watch Naruto.
