i won't lie - i hate the way that the site i write for makes me write. all professional, all house style, and absolutely no personality. regardless, i'm going to stick with it, more for a portfolio opportunity and the possible networking i may get out of it. but, i'm going to post my first drafts on LJ from now on so i can at least have more fun writing reviews, especially the ones where i kick the crap out of movies.
interestingly enough, it's the negative reviews you'll see the biggest difference - the things we appreciate we always take the time to get right, so those will probably match the published articles much, much more.
