i am now a resident of corpus christi, home of the snowbirds and octogenarians who were unable to make it to florida. and a lot of military folks of the aviation variety.

I went to Corpus once. The water was grey and the seagulls were romping amongst trash. I thought that "Corpus" was an appropriate name for the city, because it seemed to be bloated and decaying in the water. Don't make too much of that though, because I'm from Dallas. If your city is a discarded body in the ocean, then mine is the chilly corpse of an amphetamine overdose. ;)

I sort of love Texas and her necrophiliac facade.

- dreams? that was kind of my point...i don't have anything to passionately dream about anymore, which seems very strange. maybe i never did, but it no longer feels like i'm working toward anything that i set ahead of myself. it's a hard thing to even talk about, much less write, not because it's painful, but because i don't understand it

hahaha - i totally broke down and bought a hat less than an hour after that last post. all was not lost, though, as it both was a true cowboy hat AND really a complete mockery of cowboy hats as it is black and has a center pendant of a skull with longhorns. sadly, apparently it made valkyrjan think only of brokeback mountain.

i'll see if i can toss a picture in here sometime.

hahaha! i was talking about the free-feeding. they don't go more than two hours without begging for more food. gotta get real mealtimes back...but as i said, it's alright - you did far more than i could have hoped/expected :) and, of course, no one expected you to continue their spartan kitty training.

haha, yeah, i wouldn't have left the food down if i'd been able to pick it up- just didn't work with the work schedule. i mean, i'm sure it would have if i'd gotten up at 6:45 or 7, but given my tendency to sleep in...
