I cannot describe how sad I am to be missing SXSW this year. After last year's INCREDIBLE time, I'm home when I should be there whooping it up with all my friends.
And this year, K is even playing! He left tonite for TX and got in around 11p. He's playing a daytime showcase around 1:30p tomorrow at Headhunters and then bunking around until Sunday.
I know with my move a mere week away, it's for the best that I didn't already have plans to go. But, I'm still sad about it.
At least we had early St. Pat's tonite for work at Hennessey's. We played pub trivia and my team came from behind and WON (in spite of me balking at an incorrect answer and not getting the point awarded properly). I also got to eat a Sprinkles Red Velvet cupcake on the corp dime today. Coulda been worse.
We pick up the keys to the new place on Monday and then I can start moving stuff over. I'm excited and I miss K horribly. While he's gone, I will continue to pack boxes, sell stuff and go pick up an Oak filing cabinet in Encino for $40 (deal!).
