Thank you for everything you've ever done, for me and anybody else. Your love never ceased to surprise me. I don't know how long it will take for me to be able to think about you without crying, or how many times I'll try to call you before I remember that you won't answer.
I'm overjoyed I was able to spend your final months with you, even during the painful and miserable times. I'm glad I was there to help you through your final days. Please know I did everything I could to make sure you were in no pain along the way. I hope you heard me each and every time I told you I loved you, and I hope you knew I meant it.
Guide over us as best you can, as you've done all these years. I hope you have found your peace.
