Customer Comments

Being on the development team, we're forwarded a weekly accumulation of customer emails, across all brands, so we can be kept abreast of production things. Granted, a lot of the problems are generally PEBCAK-related....These are directly copy and pasted -- no editing. You may see some odd punctuation in places -- I suspect that's mostly linebreak translation across multiple systems, and not so much a user's rampant usage of the questionmark.

So, I now present you with a sampling of some of the more... amusing ones:

body: I TRIED TO PLACE AN ORDER WITH YOU,but it seems my address
doesn't in your books, I"ve only lived @ it for the last 15 years. the
post office and UPS, FEDEX ect, have no problem finding it.this locks
my jaws,to be called a lie about where I live, when i"m trying to
spend money with you.

body: I am totally disgusted with your email. Please remove me from
your mailing list. ? Just few days ago I returned a tuxedo shirt that
my wife had bought from your store. If this goes on , I will ask her
to stop shopping at your store. For the class retailer that your pass
yourself in the market, you email strategy is cheap and disgusting. ?
Please remove me email address from you file. ? Regards, Sal

body: It seems to be Microsoft Zone?s policy not to worry about fixing
any of the problems in rated games allowing cheats and hacks to run
rampant . As a result of this complacent attitude on their part I will
no longer purchase anything from companies who advertise there.

body: The lady modeling the Paneled Dress by Laundry by Shelli Segal
looks like she is annorexic. Her arms are just bones. Please inform
her of this.

body: To Whom It May Concern, I am the parent of a teenage daughter
who reads the newspaper daily. The March 4th edition of the Chicago
Tribune carried your ad for Destination ?The Beauty Event?. The ad
contained a photo of what can only be described and an emaciated
looking young lady my guess probably in her teens or early twenties.
This is beauty? This in my opinion is careless advertising. This
person appears to be a victim starvation or perhaps anorexia. Her body
proportions in the photo seem to be those of someone who had been in a
Nazi concentration camp during World War II. What message are you
sending to the young beauties you so much desire to get into your
stores? I?m sure it?s not that an anorexic starved body is beautiful.
It?s not. Your ads not only influence young women to shop at your
stores but to emulate the looks of your models. My question is?would
you feel good if your daughter or sister looked like a concentration
camp victim or had to deal with the horrors of anorexia. I think not!
Certainly your advertising department or agency can find models that
lean more towards normal height to weight proportions. Whatever the
message you are trying to convey, please be more selective in the
models you choose for your ads. Your influence knows no bounds.
Sincerely, A concerned parent

And, the belle of the ball:

body: HELLO, I HAVE SPENT THE LAST HALF HOUR TRYING TO GET YOUR FUCKED
UP WEBSITE TO LET ME IN SO I CAN CHECK THE SHIPPING STATUS OF MY GOD
DAMN ORDER...I KNOW MY FUCKING PASSWORD AND WHERE I WAS FUCKING
BORN...AS SOON AS I RECEIVE MY ORDER, I'M GOING TO TURN AROUND AND
SEND IT BACK...AS WELL AS TELL THE THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS I DEAL WITH
HERE IN JACKSON, WY THAT YOU
SUCK...ASSHOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
