Holy cow, that was good!

I loved your Alex to bits - such an utterly messed-up bundle of raw nerves, reflexes and tension, scared to death of himself. I adored his more adult side too - drink, trawling for sex in bars... doing everything to distract himself, I felt.

Your Jack is wonderfully written too, especially the way she teases details out of Alex, and her steadfast loyalty despite everything.

And omg, the power dynamics between him and Yassen were *awesome*. You really got Alex's dread of losing control across, and the way he's all torn by wanting Yassen as much as he does. And Yassen's single-minded insistence on having control that's all mixed up with possessiveness and understanding that that's what Alex needs in order not to go mad.

I think my favourite moment was this:

Alex's arms were covered in red finger marks and angry purple spots.
"Did I do this?" he murmured, looking between them, loosening his hands from the shirt binding him.
Yes," Yassen said simply, wrapping his arms around Alex. "You tried."

It really drives the point home that Alex needs someone who isn't vulnerable to him, and has found him. The ending is lovely too - there's a sort of... peace in it that I really enjoyed.
