This is now friends only.
After some time you learn to accept your failures with your head high and looking up, with the dignity of an adult and not an infant's sadness. You learn how to build today's roads because the future's soil is too unsure for planning, not to mention that too often plans fall apart.
You learn that it doesn't matter how much you care, some people just don't care. And you accept that it doesn't matter how good a person is, this person will hurt you eventually and you must forgive it. You find out that it takes years to build a trustworthy relationship and a few seconds to ruin it and that you could take a second to do things you might regret for your whole life. You learn that true friendship can keep strong through distance.
And that what really matters is who you have in your life and not what you have and that good friends are the family we're allowed to choose.
You learn that we don't have to change friends if we understand that people change, you realize that you and your best friend can do anything or nothing together and still have wonderful moments together. You find out that the ones we love the most are taken away from us too fast and that's why we should always say goodbye with loving words, it could be the last time we meet. You learn that circumstances and surroundings have great influence on us, but we still are responsible for ourselves and our decisions.
You learn that not always it's enough to be forgiven by someone, sometimes we have to forgive ourselves. You learn that someday you'll be condemned as harshly as you judge now.
You learn that it doesn't matter in how many pieces you had your heart broken, the world just won't stop for you to mend it. You learn that time isn't something that can be turned back. Therefore, plant your garden, take care or your soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you can bear it. That you're really stronger than you think and that you can go further when you thought you couldn't go farther.
