I'm finally back in Asiaaaaaaaaaaaa! Woooooooohooo. Asia <3
Feels good to see WATSON'S when I stepped out (sense of familiarity), the past 6 months has been walmart, walgreens, target & whatnots. Now it's WATSON, GUARDIAN, Giordano. Heh, it's nice :) I'm finally appreciating all these chapala brands.
Well I didnt mention Singapore becos I'm not in SG yet. I'm in HK and I'm gonna be in shanghai in two days time. Probably gna tour around here for a bit before heading back home :)
The past 6 months have been nothing short but wonderful. I dont think words can do any justice to the amazing experience I had. I absolutely had no regrets gng for the exchange. Sure it wasnt smooth sailing all the time, but it still is part of a learning journey. I think I'm pretty good at knowing what to do while travelling now :) WIKITRAVEL is the answer to life's travelling guide.
I feel happy that I'm happy wherever I'm at now. I know I'm gonna miss the US but I'm really embracing Asia right now. While walking to the bart station for one last time today, I was immersing in the fresh cool air, the sights and sounds around me, the harmless homeless people begging for money everyday, I just felt so relaxed and at ease. Over here, it's back to the hectic fast-paced lifestyle, nonetheless, I'm appreciating it for its efficiency. I dont think I'd complain about waiting 7-10 mins for a train anymore since I've been experiencing 15 mins train intervals in the states. Haha. Now, I really cant wait to meet jolin & hang out with her in shanghai! :)
The 2 weeks in Berkeley was ABSOLUTE fun too. I turned towards mother nature & visited all the national parks, woods & stuff. All I have to say was just that the views were BREATH-TAKING, beyond words. I was so captivated by the beauty and magnificence of nature. It's really when you see those sights for yourself, a voice inside your head tells you "This is God's work". I took some pictures but again, pictures do not do it justice AT ALL. It's sooooo much better in real. Apart from that, I had a great time bonding with my course mates & getting to know them better (which I otherwise, would not have if I were in Singapore). I never had so much laughter before especially with a girl I never thought I could get along with hahaha.
ANYWAY, that's just a summary of the last few weeks of my trip. Boohoo :(
For now, I have to fight jet lag, 91723971313 days of fatigue, bad eyesight, hunger and the HORRIBLE weather. Omgosh, the weather is crazy. I stepped out of the plane today and being in the air-conditioned airport today was enough to kill me. It was so humid & I was like pespiring even though I was doing nothing. zzzzzz.
Well wish me luck! Have a good summer everyone!
