Well, back to the world of reality. *sigh*
Talked to Bubbles for a bit last week. We're going skiing for my b-day, which is uber-stellar. We're gonna go up and stay in Breck, which is a fun town to hang out in, you know "apres ski" and all. There's a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant there that looks out over the water. And yeah, the snow's pretty darn good this year, so spring skiing should be awesome. Totally looking forward to that.
And my coworkers want to do a "girls' day" skiing sometime in March, which will probably be a weekday, so yay for getting to play hooky and ski with the chicas.
And we're going to Crested Butte at the end of the month with a big group. Last year was a blast so I'm really looking forward to it.
Can you tell why I love living in Colorado? :-P
Spent friday night and all of saturday at Stretch's place. We drank, watched movies, and scrapbooked. Good times. I got 15 pages done, which is insane when you think about the fact that every page takes between 45 min and an hour to create. I love her new place too. It's really nice and the colors are great and yeah, it's definitely a floorplan that I think works really well. Surprisingly, driving through Denver on a sunday morning is a pleasant drive. Whodathunkit!
We lost our hockey game last night rather spectacularly. I think the final score was 6-3, but it was 5-0 for a long long time. I had three shots on goal and there was one really juicy rebound that came right out to my stick and if I just could have lifted it 6 inches, it would have gone in, but I was rushed and didn't get it off the ice. Of course, my next shot on goal really was in the air, but the goalie saw that one coming all the way in. Bah. I dunno, it was just a really frustrating game for a lot of reasons. I hope tonight's game goes better.
And it's monday again... my homework is 75% done and I've watched all the lectures for class that are currently available. I need to read the text book a little bit tonight and try to finish the homework. This whole going-to-school-while-working-full-time thing is pretty rough, but I'm going to get this degree, darn it! I'm just about 1/3 of the way done now.
