hey, i have a livejournal!
I'm at work, bored to tears, and i got to thinking "hmmm...what can i possibly do NOW to entertain myself??" There are only so many times you can read The Orlando Sentinel, New York Times, Washington Post, away messages, your email, all the sites on bored.com, your LJ friends page, myspace, weather.com, etc etc etc....before getting listless.
Then it hit me...update your journal beyotch! So that's what this is. An entry from yours truly.
The summer has been wonderful but for the first time ever i'm actually ANXIOUS to get back to miami *gasp* Emily and i found a condo near school so i won't be homeless. That's always a comforting thought. I absolutely cannot WAIT to have my own place...my own room...for less than it costs to live in the dorms. Can't beat that. It's walking distance to the mall (sunset place) and while i've only seen pictures of it, Emily says it's perfect. I'm a happy girl about that one.
Reason #2 for my excitement...KRISTA!! I cannot express how ecstatic i am about having her with me in Miami. She's like my other half and now i only have to drive like 10 miles versus the 250 miles i used to have to drive to see her! she has her own room in the FIU dorms so i think we'll be spending a lot of time at each other's places.
Reason #3 i wanna go to miami...I now have a fakey that works wonderfully, thanks to Cassie. I've been using it all summer since i got it and haven't had a problem with it yet. I'm now the go-to for my underage friends who need to buy drinks. It's awesome.
Reason #4 i can't wait...living the single life. Oh yes.
My parents are gone back to Jamaica til at least December. My mom retired, so now i'm back at home after living with Brian for most of the summer. It's awesome to have the whole house to myself.
Harry Potter in 5 days YAYAYAYAY! I still need to re-read 1-5, but since i'm bored at work it gives me time to maybe read one a day or so...I never thought it would get to the point where i procrastinate on reading HP. It's gonna be a tough semester...
Speaking of which, my grades pretty much ROCKED last semester and i can't believe it because i've never slacked so much in my life. It's nice to know i can kinda chill and still git 'er done.
I'm buying a motorcycle, for sure. After i get all of my financial mess figured out for the semester, I'm going to get a purple Suzuki GSXR-600 or 750. I can get a relatively new bike with few miles on it for 4-5 grand or so and it's something i've wanted for a really really long time, so ya gotta indulge every so often. Indulge i will.
Hmm...que mas...
it's still light out because it's Sunday the 3rd of July and people had to work early the next day, not because i'm an alcoholic and i start pounding kegs at noon (just in case you were wondering about that)
Anyhoo, i have much more i'd like to write but i have to head over to the lab and prepare some samples and such.
