CHAPTER 6 (FINAL) - HAPPINESS ACHIEVED
Rating: PG-13 for a few things..
Note: I wanted to end it this chapter..I'm sorry if the ending sucks ^^;
Roxanne ran around the room in a fuss.
"IT'S ALMOST TIME!! HE'LL BE HERE IN 15 MINUTES AND YOU'RE A MESS!!" Roxanne panicked.
Calypso chuckled. "Relax, I look fine.." she patted down her black and blue plaid skirt and undid a couple button of her white collared shirt. Callie laced up her knee high black platform boots and looped her hair into a decent pony tail.
Roxanne sighed. "Well if you say so..But if you don't get a second date don't say I didn't waarn yoou.." Roxanne replied in a sing song voice as she walked out of the room and down the stairs.
Calypso stood infront of her full length mirror and examined her outfit. "I look fine right? I mean theres no need to be nervous..is there? After all..he's just a guy.." she plopped down on her bed.
Roxanne came back upstairs with a couple sodas and handed one to Calypso.
"Thanks" Calypso said in a low voice as she excepted the soda and down half the can.
"Hmm?" Roxanne tilted her head. "You seem down..you shouldn't be..you should be happy and excited! After all not many girls get to date their ideal dream guy!"
"But thats just it..How do I know if he is my ideal dream guy? I mean HE asked ME out..How do I know he's not gonna stand me up.."
Roxanne smiled and placed a hand on her friends shoulder.
"I just have a feeling about this..a good one.."
Calypso let out a small laugh. "What are you now, a psychic?"
"Oh please! Far from it!" Roxanne laughed with her friend. "I don't have premonitions..But I do have hunches"
"Uh huh.." Calypso said as she nodded with her mouth open slightly.
Suddenly both girls jumped as the doorbell rang.
"He's here!" Calypso said running around the room. "How's my hair!? My clothes?! Oh no, Roxanne you ARE right! I AM a mess!!"
Roxanne walked up to her friend and got a firm grip on both her shoulders.
"Callie, get a hold of yourself! You'll do fine!"
Calypso took a deep breath. "You're right..I just have to be myself.."
Roxanne nodded with a smile. "Now get moving!" she dragged Calypso down the stairs and to the front door.
Calypso reached for the doorknob and slowly opened the door.
Powerline greeted the two girls with a smile. He stood before them with his hair down and wearing a dark red shirt with a black tie and black pants with a matching belt and black dress shoes.
"Hi Powe..uumm I mean..Andre.." Calypso replied smiling back at him.
Powerline extended his hand towards Calypso. Calypso took hold of his hand and was led outside.
"Have fun you two!!" Roxanne said with a wink and she waved at them as they walked down the path.
Powerline opened the passenger door for Calypso.
"Thank you" Calypso said as she got in the car. Powerline closed the door and got into the drivers seat. He started the car and proceeded down the street.
There was some awkward silence as the drove down the street. Powerline stopped at a light and glanced at Calypso.
"You look beautiful"
Calypso blushed. "Y-You mean it?"
He nodded.
Calypso smiled and looked at him. "You look great too" she looked away, still blushing.
"Thanks, honestly I was so worried what you'd think"
Calypso laughed. "No way!"
The light turned green and Powerline started down the road.
"Yes, really, I know it seems a bit odd, a big rockstar like me being worried.."
"No, no..it's not odd at all..in fact..its perfectly normal. I was worried too"
"Naahh..you?"
"Oh please, its not like I'm famous or anything"
Powerline chuckled.
"Hmm? What's so funny?"
Powerline glanced at Calypso for a few seconds then turned his attention back to the road.
"You are..and I mean that in a good way" he replied. "You're cute"
Calypso blushed some more as Powerline pulled into a restaurant parking lot. He parked and slid out of the car, letting Calypso out shortly after.
"You like Italian food?" he looked at her.
Calypso nodded with a smile. "I love it! You can never go wrong with pasta!" she giggled a little. 'Geez I sound like a dork.'
Powerline chuckled. "Indeed" he said, opening one of the big wooden doors. Calypso walked in.
"Thank you"
Powerline entered after her.
"You're quite welcome" he smiled.
A waitress greeted them at the door.
"Two?"
"Yes" Powerline replied.
"Right this way" the waitress led the two around the corner and up a couple stairs to a booth. She placed a two menus on the table. "Can I start you two with something to drink?"
"uumm..Can I have a diet coke?" Calypso asked as she sat down.
"Okay, and for you sir?"
Powerline sat down opposite Calypso and looked up at the waitress.
"A rootbeer" he replied.
"Got it! I'll be back soon to take your orders!" the waitress smiled as she walked away.
"Order what you like" Powerline smiled as he looked through the menu.
Calypso scanned the menu. "Hmm..I think I'll have the veal parmigiana." she replied closing the menu.
The waitress returned with their drinks. "Okay, have you two decided?" she placed the drinks in front of them.
Powerline motioned for Calypso to go first.
"Oh, um, yes, i'll have the veal parmigiana"
"What type of dressing would you like?"
"Oh, i'll have Italian"
The waitress jotted down Calypso's order as she then looked at Powerline.
"And you sir?"
"I'll have the sphagetti with meat sauce"
"Okay, and your salad dressing?"
"Italian"
The waitress nodded and took the menus. "Okay, your food will be up shortly." she walked away.
Calypso sipped at her diet cola rather nervously.
Powerline smiled at her. "No need to be nervous" he reached out to grab her hand. He squeezed it a little assuring her that everything will be okay."
"Umm..Andre?"
"Hmm?"
"May I ask how you got the name 'Powerline?'"
"Ah, yes, what a memorable day." He chuckled. "Well you see..it all began.."
FLASH BACK..
"We shouldn't be playing here!" A teenage girl said. "It's dangerous!"
"Oh, shove a can up your ass will ya?!" a teenage male said.
"Okay, ready?"
"Humph! Well i'm not gonna be caught up in any of your trouble!" the girl pouted as she went over to a safer area.
"Ariana you're such a chicken!"
"Oh, shut up Liam!!" the girl crossed her arms.
"Okay Andre, ya ready?!" Liam called out.
Powerline was on the other side of the field. "Way ahead of ya!" he said as he punted the football in the air.
"He's gonna beat the record! I know it!" Liam said with excitement.
Suddenly the foot ball made contact with one of the many powerline towers on the field.
Liam's eyes grew wide. He stood there in terror as the tower proceed to collapse. Powerline darted over to his friend and yanked him out of the way. The three friends witnessed the fall of more then 10 powerline towers as one crashed into the next.
"uuhh.." Liam started.
"Quick! We have to get out of here!" Powerline started running.
"I told ya!!" Araina said while giving Liam a disapproving look.
"Oh, please who are you, my mother?!" Liam shot back.
END OF FLASH BACK
"And from then on forth I was known as 'Powerline.'"
Calypso giggled.
The waitress came by and dropped off their salad.
Calypso drizzled the dressing onto the salad.
"So, tell me, any boyfriends?" Powerline asked as he poured dressing onto his salad and mixed it with his fork.
"No..never had one before..I know..pathetic right?" Calypso took a bite of her salad.
Powerline shook his head. "No, not pathetic.."
Calypso looked up at him. "What about you? Any girlfriends?"
"Well not at the moment.." he replied.
"At your concert..you dedicated "Stand Out" to the future special woman in your life..did you have anyone in mind?"
"Actually, I did that on a whim..because I saw you..and at that very moment in time I felt as if you and I were the only people present..that I was singing just for you..even though I've never met you before..Is that weird?" Powerline polished his salad and pushed the plate aside.
"Well it's not completely ridiculous if you believe in love at first site.."
"I have believed in it..but after a few relationships crashed and burned I didn't think it could exist anymore..but now.."
"Now you feel like you can believe again?"
Powerline nodded.
The waitress returned and placed their main course dishes in front of each of them, placed the bill on the table, and walked away.
"Mmm!! This looks delicious!" Calypso said as she cut a piece of veal and ate it.
"So, honestly, what do you think of me?" Powerline asked as he started eating his spaghetti.
"Hmm..well..You're nice, not snobby like 95% of all the rich people on planet earth.."
Powerline let out a laugh.
Calypso smiled. "You have a cute laugh..and a wonderful personality.."
"Really? You think so?"
"Mmm hmm.." Calypso nodded as she continued eating. "What do you think of me?"
"Well, you're eyes are amazing..and you have a cute smile..a decent fashion sense--"
"Whoa whoa..DECENT?"
Powerline laughed "Relax, relax, I was just poking fun..I love your fashion sense.."
Calypso blushed.
"You look amazing tonight.."
Calypso avoided eye contact. "You do too.."
After they both finished their meals, Powerline paid and left a tip. Then he walked Calypso back to the car.
"I'd love to go out again sometime.."
"I'd like that" Calypso smiled.
Powerline came to a stop at a red light. He looked at Calypso and slowly leaned in closer. Calypso blushed as she closed her eyes. Powerline placed a hand around her waist and kissed her deeply.
Their moment of bliss was broken by the sound of honking horns. Powerline parted from the kiss and sighed as he continued down the road.
When they arrived outside of Calypso's house, she got out of the car.
"Let me walk you to the door." Powerline offered as he walked over to her and took her hand.
"I had a wonderful time tonight.." Calypso said as they walked up to her front door.
"I did too" Powerline smiled.
"Uumm..well..I guess I'll see you later" Calypso said as she blushed and smiled. She reached for the doorknob, but was swept up in a close hug and a deep passionate kiss. Calypso let out a small moan as she felt his hardness against her. Powerline's hands wandered down her back to her butt and rested there.
"Oh how I don't want this night to end." Calypso whispered against his lips.
Powerline smiled at her. "All good things must come to an end.." he ran his fingers gently through her hair.
"And as another saying goes..the best things in life are worth waiting for."
Calypso smiled back at him. "Yeah, you're right.."
He gave her one last kiss. "Sleep well, my love"
Calypso blushed as she went inside, flopped on the couch, and went to sleep with a smile on her face.
