After Tam and I saw Hunger Games in theater, she decided she wanted the book. Actually, she tried to get it before the movie but the waiting list is extraordinarily long. So she took a loss for the moment. After another attempt at the library, she decided just to buy the book. She ordered it off the internet and it said it would take a week to arrive.
A couple of weeks go by and I go pay her visit. We talk about different topics and before I could ask her about her book, she brought up the subject of Hunger Games. She'd recieved it and was already done with it. I looked at her and asked her when she got it. She received it on Monday and was finished with it on Tuesday!!!! Faster than I read it and I have more free time than she does! I took my time reading it because I knew I'd be in a daze for a couple of days. Disconnected from reality. I've learned that from reading a couple of the Harry Potter books too fast.
It was so funny because she was talking about how phone calls were coming in and people were texting her but she ignored all communication. I don't blame her. Then when she got to the end of the book, she was confused because of the messed up cliffhanger!! I understand. So now she's hungry for the next book but doesn't want to deal with the library. She ordered the next 2 as a set I believe. It's going to take them a while to arrive though. I think they're coming from overseas. She was trying to save a couple of dollars sacrificing speedy delivery in the name of it.
