Plane flights, toys, strollers, air mattresses, weird movies and bowling

I made it here just fine. Flights were both fine, aside from some bratty kids on flight 2. Ugh, some children have no manners (and these kids were probably 16-20)  but oh well. Got my guitar and my bag and Uncle Dan got me. Got to his house; Aunt Kat was up so we hung out in their garage-converted game room. This place had TONS of cool stuff. PS3, XBOX 360, computer, pool table, piano, old games like you find in arcades, the works. It's teh awesome. We stayed up til 3am playing pool, looking at stuff online and having an all-around good time. Woot. Went to bed happy.

Woke up somewhat late-ish (10am) but this was ok as everyone else in the house was up late, too. We hung out for a bit; I played with my cousins (though I call them my nieces) and that was fun. Hailey is 5 and super smart, Kaya is 1 year and too cute. We went out to eat for lunch, then headed back home. Kaya went down for a nap and the rest of us went in the backyard and hung out. I busted out my guitar at one point and played a little bit; I didn't do too terribly which pleases me :o) We had dinner, then Owen picked me up. We headed over to his new place and watched movies until late in the night. I got scolded for not knowing hardly any of the movies he had; we watched "Orgasmo", "Idiocracy" and "SLC: PUNK". I'd never heard of the second two but heard of the first one. Apparently I've lived under a rock all my life. Again, went to bed about 3am content with things. Got to snuggle with a kitty and sleep in late again. Woot.

Woke up to Mom calling. Talked for a bit, then got dressed. Hung out until it was time, then Owen and I headed over to the bowling alley. His work did a corporate bowling league thing where he and 4 other coworkers made up a team. It was tons of fun :o) Laughing and talking to people. Hilarious part was when he introduced me to his coworkers and all of them asked me how much he was paying me to be his friend. lol good times with nice people. When that ended I went back to Dan and Kat's and busted out the guitar again. Kat brought hers out and we both messed around with them a bit. I sang some which seemed to entertain some. Played with the kiddos before dinner, then after dinner Kat and I took the kids on a walk through the neighborhood. It's really cool because she knows so many neighbors because of this 'mommy group' she participates in. Very cool. Afterwards we came home and the kids went to bed. We've been hanging out since then (althogh Dan did just turn in).

I'm feeling a sense of calmness, of serenity here. I'm not sure why considering I'm sitting in a family that's full of chaos, but I guess I was right when I said I needed to get away for a bit. Got to talk about family, talk about Grandma Semaria, talk about future plans and past choices. Talked about work a lot. Talked about home. Just talked in general. I'm feeling better, a lot better, aside from the going to bed late still. Tomorrow Grama and Grampa come and take me to Port Hueneme; I'll have a vehicle at their house which will be kinda nice. I'm excited. I get to go to the beach and possibly see family some more. It's been quite relaxing so far. We'll see how the rest of the week goes. Grampa got a new guitar so I'm really hoping we'll be able to play together, but we'll see what happens. I haven't quite gotten the hang of "Captain Jack and the Mermaid" but I'm going to try my hardest to play it for him. Fingers crossed I can do it.
