finally!
After the period of frustration and insecurity, things are finally looking up for me. I got shortlisted for the NUS-in-Yale program after almost not finishing the essay for the program. I finally have my first ever internship interview after long nights of slaving over my CV and cover letter. I got on the Dean's List in Sem 1 after that grueling semester. I'm also coaching and making some disposable income for myself finally after figuring out a way to circumvent the "we-cannot-hire-non-Singaporeans-policy".
It just sucks that the first person I'd call about all this good news isn't here right now and won't be back for 6 more days. When I complained to him about how the flurry of good news came this when he wasn't around, his response was a chuckle and "life is fair". Life is fair indeed. You can never have too many good things in your life all at once.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least one of those summer opportunities work out. :)
