Okay, so I had a good day today. I taught the lesson of doom with the obnoxious volunteer coordinator. It was a really good lesson. She has improved one hundredfold since she started riding...and it's all because of me. No, seriously. I've been her instructor since she first started lessons. Seeing improvements is very gratifying, especially since I know I'm helping build a good foundation of horsemanship based on "why this works with this particular horse" and not "pose this way and not fall off". So yeah. Groovitude.
Also, I had a really super ride on Heza today. Now granted, he bucked 7 times. But I didn't come off. And his jog to lope transitions were fabulous. AND I got a really nice compliment from Amber (the General Manager) about how that was probably the nicest lope she's seen him do in a couple of years. Go me part deux!
AND, I went to dinner with Susanne (my best bud), Pat (a boarder at the barn), Kim (another boarder and a friend), and Meg (another instructor) . We had dinner at Guapos, and it was cool. Good conversation, and a really good taco salad. And also unlimited Diet Coke. Yum!
But, the best part of tonight was after I headed home. My phone rang as I was walking up the steps to the house, and it was my bro, who was on the school bus coming back from the game. They won, and he was excited, and it was good to talk to him anyways. Apparently he played all of the second half of the game, and he got some good tackles. :-D I <3 Shane! Of course that's not even the best part!!
I got to talk to Justin tonight, just like I always do after the games. He was in a really good mood (obviously, they won) and that was cool. He asked me how things were going here, and I told him I was working a lot, but other than that things were okay. He said that at least that was a good way to keep my mind of things, and I agreed (and definitely do!). I asked him how he was, and he said he was really good. Then there was a pause, and he said "Yeah, me and my girlfriend broke up"...to which I responded "Well, is that a good thing?...", and he was like "Oh yes, it's a good thing..." So I was like "Well good then!". And then I told him that I was coming home a week from Monday, and he declared that "awesome".
I pretty much think my chances of makeouttage happening when I go back home just increased like twentyfold. LOL...Sean thinks it's amusing, or at least seems to. .So yeah, I'm guessing it's good that he told me that, haha.
Anyhoo, that's all for tonight. Gotta get some rest, because I have to be up at 6 AM. Bleh.
