An actual update!
Things are s...l...o...w... at work this week. I've been filling up my time reading Julius Caesar, which is far more enjoyable this go around than when I was forced by a nervous student teacher way back in 10th Grade English. Oh Mrs. Hines...you were crazy.
Also been continuing my recent obsession with money. Not an obsession so much as a very earnest desire to pay off my credit cards as much as possible and get out of debt (don't even mention student loans...), so that I will have more money to actually HAVE month to month. My salary would be fine if I didn't have to send $400 a month to my three credit cards. The past year, with the whole moving to an expensive city, having to pay for everything myself thing, has been pricey. So that's my goal. If that means I can't go out as much, or if I do I get one drink instead of three, and a salad instead of steak, just support me! I will still be having fun, just less expensive fun!
I am a dolt. Many of you already knew this from personal experience. Some of you do not because you read my journal without actually knowing me (hello fellow Hanson fan from Queens, perhaps Elmhurst). I am a Harry Potter-loving dolt, who ordered the book shipped to work thinking it was being released on Friday, so that I could start reading during lunch. But NO. Comes out SATURDAY, and I can't get into the office on the weekend without some serious bitching at doormen, which just isn't very nice, even for Harry Potter. So I won't get the book until Monday. This way might be better, because not being able to read it in one sitting will stretch out the time it takes to read, and enjoy, before my journey through Harry's world is done (until I read them all in French! mwhahhaha! Where do I buy those, anyways?) So just a word: if you're going to talk about Book 7 in your LJ, please please please put it behind a link with SPOILER in big letters. I don't want to find out accidentally like last time who dies or whatnot.
Sidenote: Just got handed my paycheck. Can't wait to pay bills! I am insane.
That's all for now. Can't wait to see some of you at the wedding next weekend, if you're still out there... My Agawamians seem to have drifted away from LJ and found me on Facebook. This weekend I am Long Island-bound, if the flood waters have receeded and the tornadoes stopped...tornadoing. New word! Yay!
